When Hemingway dubbed the City of Love a moveable feast he wasn’t exactly talking about literal plates piled high with lobsters, clamshells and french fries (though – if you hit up google – you can find the recipe to his most beloved burger, a literary-slash-culinary legend I’m determined to try some day.) Still, it’s Paris’ openness to ceaseless festivity and indulgence that allows a shoot like this to fit so well within its establishments. Isn’t that part of the reason French women reputedly don’t get fat? Eating for pleasure means there’s no need for cheat days: have a little of what you love, when you want, and you’ll always be satisfied.
That, and their healthy appetite for sex.
