Projections across a naked body make for utterly fascinating photos

Art within art, pictures within pictures, stories within stories… Jean Francois Gschwindt’s shoot for Bambi Magazine is a rare kind that calls you back for repeated viewings, again and again.

Model Alice merges with the cinematic worlds being projected across her, dressed accordingly in a silk kimono, a leather harness. Or she becomes the married woman (“Une Femme Mariée”) from Jean-Luc Godard’s 1964 film, in one scene her naked body caressed by the impalpable hand of Pierre – the married woman’s ring-wearing husband – and in the next by the disembodied fingers of Robert, her lover.
